Lynch et al

Clinical trials on the use of the Biogun in dentistry were conducted at what was then St Bartholomew's and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry.

The directing clinician was Dr (now Professor) Edward Lynch, then Senior Lecturer, Department of Conservative Dentistry, with the microbiology supervised by Professor David Beighton, Professor of Oral Microbiology, Royal College of Surgeons, Kings College School of Medicine and Dentistry.

When reading this paper, please bear in mind that current models of the Biogun are considerably more powerful than the prototype tested.

Many aspects of the research were published in peer-reviewed journals, and references are included; but you can download a PDF file of the complete original paper here.
